Present Your Startup is an accelerator program and successful pitch event. The platform connects startups, businesses and investors by organizing events and training programs in order to get startups funded.
Present Your Startup is inspired by the TV-programs Dragons’ Den & Shark Tank, but with an innovative twist. The concept is an initiative by Valérie Vallenduuk, lawyer-partner of Vallenduuk Advocaten, who asked herself: How can I connect startups to investors? Valerie Vallenduuk registered the brand name Haarlemvalley because the event was initiated in the city of Haarlem, the Netherlands in 2014. The first two editions of the live pitch event were organized under the name Haarlemvalley. In 2016, a new brand identity was launched under the name 'Present Your Startup'.
The name Haarlemvalley is still being used to address the international relationship between Haarlem and Harlem, New York.

Present Your Startup is an accelerator program which aim is to get startups funded by organizing events, offer support in form of consulting and preparing startups for financing.
Are you a startup with an innovative idea or product? Apply for our program! Every applicant will be called and invited to an intake at our office in Haarlem. After the intake we will select the startups which can start with the Online Academy. During the Online Academy, you will learn more about pitching, business modeling and finance. When you finish the Online Academy before September 10th you will join the finance day and the pitch and selection day in which you can be selected for our prepare Your Startup Academy 2018.
After the Academy, startups will get the opportunity to pitch their idea during the qualifying Pitch Day for an audience of investors and experts. Eventually, the best 5 startups will pitch at the big Live Pitch Event on November 28th.
Investor?
Present Your Startup has built a growing network of professionals and experts in various fields. Our foundation provides added value to investors. Apart from the fact that it is fun to participate in our events, it also offers incredible business opportunities. Our foundation has a strong committed team that largely works voluntarily, provides access to their network and refer startups to our startup program. Our work accelerates the growth of startups, but is dependent on sponsorships and donations. Contact Valerie Vallenduuk if you are interested in participating in our network.
At this moment, our network is expanding rapidly regionally and internationally. Our initiative is supported by VC's who are part of our judging panels and/or member of our Advisory Board.

Results
For four years, the pitch event was organized in Haarlem. After the successful first edition in the fall of 2014, the startups raised almost 300.000 euro live in cash on stage and afterwards more than 350.000 euro extra. During the second edition in 2015, almost 400.000 euro was raised live in cash on stage and besides that 1 million in services. Afterwards, 600.000 euro extra was invested in the startups and at this moment talks about further investments worth over more than 1 million are continuing.
Last November, Wednesday November 23rd 2017, was the fourth annual Present Your Startup Live Pitch Event. After more than 100 applicants, eventually 6 startup entrepreneurs pitched their businesses on stage in front of an audience of 400 people and raised more than 400.000 euro.
