Haarlem2Harlem 2016

Haarlemvalley, known for the live pitch event Present Your Startup where startups on stage raise an average of 400,000 euros in funding annually, has now offered three Dutch startups an American platform. An enthusiastic audience of more than 150 people watched the pitches of the 3 Dutch startups Multisense, Bardoggy and Ticketzdeal and 3 American startups consisting of The C-Suite Coach, the 'U' with me and RecordGramm. The entire event was broadcast via a livestream, which provided these American startups with a Dutch stage. The investor panel consisting of Eric Boonstra (CEO Evoswitch), Doug Binette (founder DB Ventures), Jeroen de Vries (New Amsterdam Advisors), Varelie Croes (co-founder ATECH) and Melissa Oosterbroek (Haarlemvalley Capital) finally named Record Gramm the winner of the pitch event.

Record Gramm, the startup of Shawn Mims, (multiplatium music recording artist) and Erik Mendelson won the first Haarlem2Harlem pitch competition. Record Gramm offers an easy way for artists to make a music through an app. Due to the strong music culture in Haarlem and the price of Evoswitch for the use of an office space worth 10,000 euros, the American entrepreneurs are now considering opening a first branch in Europe.
